Hi! My name is Michelle Rogers. I am a Certified Personal Trainer (National Council for Certified Personal Trainers), Certified Health Coach (American Council on Exercise) and Certified Group Fitness Instructor (American Council on Exercise). I’m also credentialed as a Senior Fitness Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and Menopause Health and Fitness Specialist (MedFit). I’m in my 50s and live in central North Carolina. My husband and I met in high school, and are proud parents and grandparents.
As a busy working mom I was more focused on everyone and everything else and didn’t pay much attention to my own needs. But in 2008, I took control of my health. I started exercising and eating better, and went on to lose a large amount of weight. Exercise and healthy eating made such a profound difference in every area of my life, that I was inspired to make a career pivot and become a fitness professional. My transformation not only changed me physically, it gave me a new purpose in life: To help others.
I had struggled for many years with yo-yo dieting, weight fluctuations of over 100 pounds, and sticking with exercise.
All that time, I didn’t have anyone to guide me through and to help me succeed. I was far too shy, intimidated and embarrassed to ask anyone for help, and no way did I have the courage to just walk into a gym. So I listened to whatever the latest magazine or TV story claimed was good for exercise and weight loss. And when I couldn’t keep up with it (and never could for long), I felt like a failure. Sound familiar?
I finally arrived at success because I was fed up with feeling like crap all of the time and I made the decision to try one more time. And because this time, I did things differently.
With my real-life experience and my professional health and fitness education, I’ve learned so much on this journey. Now it’s my life’s mission to help others succeed.
Instead of feeling tired and achy most of the time like I used to, today I enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. I can be there for my family, friends and community when they need me. I can fully participate in life. It’s awesome…more than words can say. I want that for you, too.

I used to think that the most important thing was what the scale said, or what my dress size was. But now that I achieved those goals, I can tell you that the best part is how wonderful you FEEL when you’re healthy and fit. When you feel great, when you have your health, you really can do anything!
And that’s why I do the work I do. That’s life-changing stuff. I want to pass it on.
When I have a client or class participant tell me, with excitement, things like:
“Thank you!! I can do things now I couldn’t do before!”
“My doctor says I’m no longer pre-diabetic and took me off of medication! Wow!”
“I’m sleeping better now, and wake up with less pain!”
“I’m seeing a difference! Look how loose my pants are…these used to be tight! I need to go shopping!”
“My cholesterol has dropped 30 points since my last exam!”
“Wow, I feel so much better now than when I started!”
…it melts my heart. I love helping them. I want to help YOU. It’s what drives me. It’s what gets me out of bed every morning.
Just start
I’m proof positive that even if you’ve always struggled, it’s not too late to turn over a new leaf. You’re never too old to become your best you, and live your best life now.
Every Oct. 26, I celebrate my “Fitiversary” date of starting that day in 2008, and it’s all because I decided to try one more time. Will TODAY be YOUR Fitiversary date? It’s time to get started on YOUR success story!
To your health,
