Ladies, let’s walk together! Join me for a women’s hike I’m leading on National Trails Day, Saturday, June 2nd from 8:30-10:00 a.m.
National Trails Day is an annual initiative of the American Hiking Society to encourage everyone to experience the great outdoors. Events are held across the country.
We’ll enjoy the Occoneechee Mountain Loop Trail at the Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area in Hillsborough, N.C. This scenic trail goes through the woods, along the peaceful Eno River, and up to the overlook where you’ll get to sit on the rocks or benches and see for miles across Orange County.
This is a lovely trail suitable for most all levels of walkers, but there are steps to climb in some parts (see photos above).
Be sure to bring a bottle of water.
We’ll begin and end in the parking/picnic area. Our walk is 2.2 miles and will last approx. 90 minutes. There is a restroom facility available in the picnic area.
This event is free, but please register each person via the form below, so I can notify you of any changes.
